Central Silent Hill (Foggy Side)
[Tasks:
-Monster fighting! There are skinless dogs, pterodactyl things, and apelike dudes in abundance, and all sorts of stores to explore/loot.
-NPCs! If you want to talk to one, let me know. There's a policewoman around, though she doesn't know what the fuck, and a crazy woman who may know what the fuck, but hell if anyone can tell!
-Subplot! There's a police station with notes about the local drug trade. [I'll paste 'em in if your character wants to read them.] Also, ammo.]
Empty stores stretch for blocks, the fog and snow the only patrons. Whatever happened to all the people here, it looks like most of them had time to close up shop before diasppearing- gates are down, doors locked. Wide chasms cut through some of the streets, impossibly deep gouges in the earth. The city is dead.

"Um. Yeah, I think we did."
She cuts the power to the chainsaw, and the silence is too much. She shoves the chainsaw into Thomas's hands and goes a short distance away to throw up.
Not that she has much in her stomach anyway, but...yeah, that needs to come out of there now.

She looks around again. Everything is quiet. "Now what?" They still don't know where they are, really.

"FREEZE!"

"Hey, you're both human!" Surprise and relief there.
"Do you live here?"

Angela is coveting the other woman's gun. Or any gun, really. She can shoot most kinds pretty well.

She pauses for a moment. "But...you can't call out? Or call for help or anything?"
Oh, that's worrying.

"Are you tourists here?"
And then, to Angela, "All the phone lines are dead, and the radio's just static."

Angela blinks. "Yeah, I don't know if I can explain." But she'll try.
"Like...Okay, from what I understand, there are portals opening up all over the place and they bring back...pretty much whatever they find--things, places...people."

And Angela is ready to get somewhere else besides out in the open.

The silhouettes of police cars show through the fog. And then the police radio crackles with static. She curses under her breath, readying her pistol.
"Stay behind me," she orders. A pair of hunched, bulky figures amble in the fog ahead.

Then, with a mighty twang, a throwing knife sails through the air to thunk into one of the figures. S'not like he needs to be in front of her to hit them.

She grins as one of his throwing knives hits one of the zombie things. He is so awesome.

Long enough distraction for the first thing to start charging at her. She unloads a few bullets into it before it tackles her.
Its cohort is close behind.
