Central Silent Hill (Foggy Side)
[Tasks:
-Monster fighting! There are skinless dogs, pterodactyl things, and apelike dudes in abundance, and all sorts of stores to explore/loot.
-NPCs! If you want to talk to one, let me know. There's a policewoman around, though she doesn't know what the fuck, and a crazy woman who may know what the fuck, but hell if anyone can tell!
-Subplot! There's a police station with notes about the local drug trade. [I'll paste 'em in if your character wants to read them.] Also, ammo.]
Empty stores stretch for blocks, the fog and snow the only patrons. Whatever happened to all the people here, it looks like most of them had time to close up shop before diasppearing- gates are down, doors locked. Wide chasms cut through some of the streets, impossibly deep gouges in the earth. The city is dead.

Especially not after they left scratches down her back. And whatever this is on her pants that was splashed when she ripped into their innards with her Dad's knife because they'd managed to knock her gun away.
Having managed to win, though, Jo is making her way down a street.
And, Oh Look!, there's a police officer.

"I'm not from here. I just ended up here."
no subject
With a sigh, she adds, "I wonder how many people are still alive here. I know there's a guy here looking for his daughter..."
no subject
Jo'd rather not go into that now, exactly.
Or the bell tower again, if she can help it. If not, well...
"Where's the station, and what's your name? I could tell them you're out here if I pass by there."
no subject
"What about you? Where'd you come in from?"
no subject
She said it with a tight smile.
"Best bet is to get somewhere safe, and take all the people you can find there with you. Keep 'em out of the streets and away from the monsters as long as possible."

She turns to Thomas nervously. "Oookay, where the hell are we?" She shivers.

But then she hears something off in the...uncomfortably near distance. "Oh, dear."
She turns about, trying to see...anything.

There's another growl.
"I think maybe...um. Shelter would be good. Damn, I wish I had a gun."
no subject
Okay, that's an out and out lie, but it sure looks like that's what happens. In reality, he's got ten little curved knives that he slipped out his fingers, to make it look like claws. Pretty nifty, huh?
"What the fuck was that?"

Also for pterodactyls. 'Cuz there are those, too. Oliver has his right hand out.
no subject
A couple of soft, deep grunts rumble distantly in the fog ahead.
no subject
He seems to be doing well even with that wound in the shoulder, thank God.
no subject
Either way, he slows, shotgun ready as he creeps forward.
A pair of hunched silhouettes wander ahead between some parked cars.
no subject
...Oliver has his right hand out just in case they do.
no subject
BLAM. The first shrugs off the shotgun blast, tackling him.

"Are all your towns like this?"
no subject
Then, "Really, no. It's like some sort of ghost town or something. You have your sword, right?"
no subject
"Do you -- have anything?"
no subject
No, Claire doesn't have anything.
"And all my leet comnbat skills from training with Steph and Dinah...
"...yeah, I have you."
no subject
He'll protect her. He has to.
"We have to get out of here. Which way did we come in?"
In the fog, it's confusing.
